A Blood Storage Center established at N.R. Agarwal Rotary Hospital, Sarigam, under the Global Grant Project (GG2689618) of the Rotary Club of Sarigam, was inaugurated on June 16, 2026, by AKS. Shri Kaushal N. Desai, Managing Director and Chairman of Apar Industries Ltd. This important healthcare facility has been made available in collaboration with the Valsad Blood Donation Centre. With the introduction of this service, residents of Sarigam and surrounding areas will no longer need to travel to Vapi or Valsad during emergencies requiring blood. As this is the only Blood Storage Center available in Umargam Taluka, it is expected to provide significant benefits to the local community. The project was implemented through Rotary’s Global Grant programme with valuable support from AKS President Nupur Desai, RC Bombay Pier. RID3141 and Rtn. Ila Shah of Rotary Club of Charlotte Hall, RID7620 USA. We appreciate support by DIstrict Governor Amardeep Singh Bunet and DRFCC Prashant Jani, RID 3060. The successful execution of the project was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Rtn Dr. Ashish Arekar and his team from the Rotary Club of Sarigam. Among those present at the inauguration were Rotary Club President Rtn. Dr. Janhavi Arekar, Club Secretary Rtn. Maulik Modi, Trust President Rtn. Dr. Surendrasinh Parmar, Trust Secretary Virendra Bhatt, trustees, authorities from APAR Industries Khattalwada and other club members. Following the completion of all statutory and regulatory formalities, the Blood Storage Center is expected to become operational within the next two months. Thank you
