Sarigam is a small yet rapidly developing town located near the Gujarat-Maharashtra border, falling under the Umergam Taluka of Valsad District, Gujarat. Home to a population of approximately 40,000, the majority of Sarigam’s residents come from economically disadvantaged and migrant labor communities, who rely on daily wages for survival. Despite industrial growth in the Sarigam GIDC estate since 1982, the region has historically suffered from a lack of basic health, education, and social infrastructure.
Rotary Sarigam Hospital has remained committed to delivering accessible, compassionate, and quality healthcare to the community.
With support from the Health Department of Valsad and the Government of Gujarat, over 31,550 individuals were vaccinated during the COVID-19 pandemic, along with 109 healthcare workers receiving booster doses.

Over 75 free medical camps have benefited more than 20,000 people through free consultations, medicines, and surgeries, supported by generous donors. A special mega camp was also held on PM Narendra Modi’s birthday on 17th September 2020.

Since April 2022, the hospital has been operating the only trust-run dialysis center in the Umergam Taluka. With 7 dedicated dialysis beds, the center provides this life-saving treatment completely free of cost to patients with chronic kidney disease.

A fully functional Emergency and Trauma Care Unit was inaugurated in March 2023 at Wing 8 of the hospital. It houses a 7-bed ICU with state-of-the-art equipment and trained medical staff to manage critical cases, including severe injuries, trauma, and acute medical emergencies.
